Beauty Finds at the Drugstore this Fall

Happy Monday everyone! While the fall season started a while ago, it is just now cooling off in Tallahassee (hello highs that are NOT in the 90s!!) so I’m finally getting into the       ~ spirit of the season ~ a month late. People always talk about how fall brings cozy sweaters and pumpkin flavored EVERYTHING, but one of the things I love most about theIMG_0032 change of seasons are the changes in my makeup bag. I am not a beauty guru by any means (although I do spend a lot of my time watching Youtube videos); however, I have come to enjoy changing up my look depending on the season. While my summer look was all about being bronzed, glowy and fresh, my fall look is about embracing bolder colors inspired by the changing leaves. Check out my go-to products for fall (each item is from the drugstore and UNDER 10 dollars) and let me know what your favorite part about fall is in the comments below!

Beauty Essentials for Fall

  • Eyes: Wet n Wild Color Icon 10 Shadow Eye Palette in Rose in the Air ($4.99 at Target)
    • If you haven’t tried Wet n Wild’s eyeshadows you are missing out. They are easy to apply, blend well and stay put. I love this specific palette because it IMG_0037includes neutral colors, but also some bolder pinks/red hues which are perfect for fall
  • Face: Burt’s Bees Natural Blush in Bare Peach ($9.49 at Target)
    • I normally opt for a cool toned baby pink blush in the summer, but in the fall I gravitate towards a more subtle peach and not only is this Burt’s Bees blush the perfect shade for fall, but it’s so easy to apply and looks effortless
  • Body: Trader Joe’s Pumpkin Body Butter ($4.99 in stores only)
    • This. Is. Fall. I am not the biggest fan of pumpkin flavored/pumpkin scented items, but this smells wonderful without being overbearing. I also love how light and airy this formula is as well as how easily it absorbs into the skin without feeling greasy
  • Nails: Revlon Nail Enamel in Teak Rose  ($3.97 at Walmart)
    • While I love going to the nail salon, it’s not very friendly on the wallet so I usually opt to do my own at home manicure/pedicure. I feel like I’ve tried every nail polish brand under the sun, but the one that’s always worked the best for me is Revlon (both their nail enamel and gel envy formula). I am also weird and think nails should always be pink, so this color is perfect for me because it’s still pink-ish but more in line with the ~fall vibes~
  • Lips: Burt’s Bees Matte Lip Crayon in Redwood Forest ($7.52 at Walmart), NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream in Budapest ($4.19 at Target), Dr. Bronner’s Organic Lip Balm in Peppermint ($2.69 at Target), and Burt’s Bees Lip Balm in Pumpkin Spice ($2.97 at Walmart)
    • Can you tell my favorite type of makeup is a good lip product?? I love, love, love bolder lips for fall and both the Burt’s bees lip crayon and NYX lip cream IMG_0035and lightweight, matte and GORGEOUS. And when wearing matte colors it’s so important to have a good lip balm handy. my go-to lip balm is the original Burt’s bees balm or the Dr. Bronner’s peppermint lip balm, I was excited to try the Burt’s Bees limited edition pumpkin spice flavor to feel ~in tune~ with the season. The picture on the left is my attempt at swatching the colors for you (LOL) but the Burt’s Bee’s color is on the left and the NYX color is on the right; both beautiful and versitale for the fall season

  1. Thanks for the heads up on all the great drugstore finds! Ditto on the TJ’s Pumpkin Body Butter…..love it!! Also in the spirit of Fall, their Vanilla Pumpkin and Honeycrisp Apple soy candles are heavenly and so perfect for right now.
