Happy Monday everyone! I hope the weekend was restful and rejuvenating. As we embark on a new month (and a new week!) I thought it would be fun to share my intentions for October. Instead of setting “goals” for each month and then not hitting them and feeling disappointed and discouraged, I have come to understand that focusing on the notion of “intentions” has been (generally) a more positive experience. When I first set out to work on my intentions for this month, it kind of dawned on me that I was under the impression “intentions” and “goals” were the same thing and that I was just tricking my mind with some word play. HOWEVER, after actually doing some research there is a difference between the two. While setting intentions and goals are a similar experience, the difference is that when you set an intention you are simply putting out into the universe what you would like to accomplish but you aren’t planning out how to accomplish the intention as you normally would when setting a goal. For someone that has trouble sticking to a concrete plan, shifting from setting goals to intentions has made all the difference and I am seeing that I am actually able to accomplish my goals when I don’t really have a plan.

- Focus on creating positive thoughts (which will lead to positive outcomes!!)
- Prioritize my health (through eating clean and moving daily)
- Set aside some time each day for WDW (whether it’s actually creating content or just researching topics and behind the scenes information)
