While trying to decide on the main topics I wanted to write about on this site I found it to be beneficial to write out why exactly I was drawn to creating a blog in the first place. Simply put, I’ve always loved blogs. I loved using Tumblr back in high school, and I’ve always had a set of bloggers that I’ve followed over the years. Because I loved reading about people’s revelations, thoughts and experiences so often, I decided in college that I wanted to do that too. I attempted to start up a blog back then, but unfortunately life got in the way of things and the idea was quickly forgotten. I’m at the point in my life now that, while busy, I wanted to find some way to incorporate more creative aspects in my life. I feel like I’m constantly on a journey of self discovery, and I wanted to be able to share what I’m working towards or what I’ve learned so that maybe someone on a similar path can stumble upon my tiny blog and find solace in the fact that someone else is having the same struggles/triumphs. Originally, I thought it would be so cool to be able to make a living as a full time blogger, but I’ve come to realize that while that would be awesome, that should not (and cannot) be my motivation for blogging. I’m blogging simply because I think it will be beneficial to do something that’s solely done just because I find enjoyment in it. That’s all a hobby should be, right?
